My dear Young,

Downing Street,

S. T. 1.

October, 1942.

I have had a visit this

evening from Lieutenant Commander Shepherd, R. N., who was a prisoner of war at Wowsong Camp, Shanghai, with Sir Mark, and has just been repatriated under the Anglo-Japanese exchange

arrangements.

He met Lady Young in

You

South Africa and gave her all the information he had, and he must, of course, now meet to tell you about it too. He will be back in London on Monday, the 12th and can be got through Major Hicks, N.I.D.4., Admiralty. will no doubt arrange direct with Major Hicks a convenient time for Shepherd to come and see you. I am not writing to Hubert, as no doubt you will make arrangements with him yourself.

Yours sincerely,

N.E. YOUNG, ESQ., M.C.,

suly
